Who is Dr. Ashutosh Shah?

Dr. Ashutosh Shah is a plastic and cosmetic surgeon with more than twenty two years of practice. His qualifications are MBBS, MS, MCh in Plastic Surgery and DNB. MCh is the highest surgical training qualification in plastic surgery in India, and it follows a general surgery degree, so the pathway takes well over a decade to complete.

His work spans both sides of the speciality. On the cosmetic side that means body contouring, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, gynecomastia correction and hair transplant. On the reconstructive side it means burn reconstruction, diabetic foot salvage, complex wound cover and trauma repair. Consequently, patients get a surgeon who thinks about healing and blood supply first, and appearance second, which is exactly the order that produces durable results.

Why the qualification matters

Cosmetic treatments in India can legally be offered by practitioners with very different levels of training. A plastic surgeon with an MCh has spent years operating on tissue that has already failed once, which builds judgement you cannot shortcut. Therefore, when you compare clinics, look past the marketing and check the surgical qualification and where the operating happens.

How does a consultation actually work?

Consultations at Elegance Clinic are unhurried and private. You describe the concern in your own words, the surgeon examines the area, and then you get an honest assessment of what is achievable. Photographs are taken only with your consent. You leave with a written estimate and a clear idea of recovery time.

Nothing is booked on the same day as a first consultation for major surgery. We would rather you go home, think it through, and return with questions.

• Say no when surgery will not help. Turning a patient away costs us a case and saves them a regret.
• Quote honestly and in writing, so there are no surprises after the procedure.
• Keep continuity. The surgeon who consults is the surgeon who operates and who reviews you afterwards.

Additionally, we treat privacy as non negotiable. Many of our patients come for concerns they have not discussed with anyone, so consultation notes, photographs and even appointment timings are handled discreetly.

Elegance Clinic operates from Adajan and Vesu in Surat. Both locations run full consultation facilities, and surgical procedures are scheduled at the equipped theatre. Patients travelling from Navsari, Bharuch, Valsad, Rajkot and Jamnagar are common, so if you are coming from outside Surat, tell our team when you book and we will group your consultation and investigations sensibly into one trip.
